Christmas season is fast approaching and the scam artists are getting really creative at luring the poor and ignorant Juan to their tricks.

Dragging Down the Aquino Foundation

It’s a shame that the Aquino Foundation’s name is being dragged down with this lame text scam. This could mislead people as the legit Benigno S. Aquino, Jr. Foundation.

A Familiar Format

A lot of the scams are sent via text message and as an online marketer I noticed that they have a lot of similarities when creating a Pay Per Click ad. :)

  • Time Sensitivity
  • Exclusivity
  • Call to Action

You Know It’s a Hoax When:

  1. The text message came from an ordinary 11-digit mobile number instead of a specialized four-digit number.
  2. The message claims that you won in a raffle that you never took part.
  3. It urges you to claim the “prize” quickly. The DTI said promos usually give winners 60 days to claim their prize

Last year I also posted about the Philippine Charity Foundation Text Scam. I’m calling on my fellow Filipino brothers here and abroad not to fall in this trap. They’re preying on our need of money and our constant hallucination of the get rich quick schemes. Wake up folks! its not gonna happen.

Globe Telecoms is Stupid

My 2 year contract with Globe Telecoms Philippines. I called thier customer hotline to let them know that I am willing to renew that contract and I am also willing to upgrade my Plan in order to get the phone that I wanted. I did not expect that it was so complicated for them to do that because there are NO phone rewards on the lists availabel for me. I just told them that I am bot interested for any type of reward I just wanted to upgrade my plan and get that phon ebut it really turned out to be difficult for them becaus eit was a different system. Renewal and Getting a new line is 2 difrferent systems. This gave me the message that Globe Telecoms is trying so hard to get new clients and they are not prioritizing thier existing portfolio of clients. Didnt they know that it is more expensive to get new clients thant to retain old ones?

Because of that incident I am now looking to move to smart telecoms which they are going to give me the phone that I wanted for FREE! Can you imagine that? at Globe Telecoms I have to shell out cash and updagrade my plan where in at Smart I dont even have to upgrade my plan and I’m still getting the phone I wanted.

Damn you Globe Telecoms! YOu make things complicated you dont even know you are losing mroe clients on the process….
